Yang Lu, a former Staff Research Scientist at Samsung Electronics and a current Machine Learning Software Architect at Cadence Design Systems, is an expert in EDA algorithm and software development, modeling of emerging semiconductor devices, parallel computing and numerical calculation, Design Technology Co-Optimization, compact modeling and circuit simulation, engineering optimization, and machine learning. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Florida, an MS in solid-state electronics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and a BS in electronic science and technology, also from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His experience includes a research assistant position at the University of Florida, an algorithm engineer role at Raintree Scientific Instrument, and a research intern position at Regional optical communication lab.
