Nigel Robinson is a Principal at Build Talent, an Executive Search firm, where he specializes in strategic talent sourcing and employer branding. With a background in critical theory, mythology, etymology, phenomenology, and creative writing, Nigel brings his expertise in constructing brand narratives and building relationships that are more transformational than transactional. He began his career at Andreessen Horowitz, a venture capital firm, where he functioned as a two-way talent agent between portfolio companies and technical talent from top universities. Nigel then went on to work for Google before joining Ouster, a startup that focuses on developing physical products. At Ouster, he spent his time sourcing talent for software and hardware teams until the pandemic cut his time there short. Nigel studied Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature/Letters at the University of California, Davis, and has a background in history, geopolitics, strategy, sociology, psychology, branding, design, and complex adaptive systems with a focus on social organisms and emerging markets.
