John Jarboe
John Jarboe is a multi-talented career educator, published songwriter, and nationally published poet. His career has taken him through a variety of paths in music performance, songwriting, arranging, and conducting. John manages multiple musical groups, including the Jarboe String Quartet and the Shamrock Strings of Little Rock, an Irish fiddling group. His commitment to music education was reflected in his work as the conductor of the Prelude Orchestra at the Arkansas Symphony Youth Orchestra and the music specialist/public school program advisor at the Arkansas Department of Education. John's educational background includes studying music education, elementary education certification, elementary principal certification, and graduate study in applied music. His talents extend to the stage as well, having played the part of Christ in the first U.S. stage production of "Jesus Christ Superstar" in 1971.
