With a background in biology and scientific research, Marta holds a Master's degree in Urban & Regional Planning, which uniquely equips her with a diverse skill set to tackle multifaceted issues. She effectively blends research, data analysis, and systems-level thinking with human-centered design and rapid prototyping to drive tangible impact for both public and private partners.
Additionally, Marta Viciedo is the Founder and Chair of Transit Alliance Miami, a nonprofit organization dedicated to expediting transportation enhancements in Miami-Dade County. Her commitment to urban betterment extends to serving on the board of the Miami Downtown Development Authority.
Her professional journey includes roles such as co-Founder and CEO at Urban Impact Lab, Graduate Research Fellow at Visual Planning Technology Lab at Florida Atlantic University, Instructor at Miami Dade College, and Laboratory Manager & Research Biologist at the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
