Vice President - Construction & Design

Responsible for pursuit and oversight of Large Commercial Projects in the DFW metroplex and surrounding areas.  Main focus was in the area of Hospitality, working with clients such as OMNI, Marriott, Starwood, Six Continents, and several others.  Projects ranged from historical conversions,  renovations and expansions, as well as new builds like the Dallas OMNI Convention Center Hotel.

Operations Director

Omni Dallas Hotel  -  Dallas, TX  -  $325,000,000  -  This project involves the design and construction of a 1.14 million-square-foot, 23-story convention center hotel. Scheduled to open in early 2012, the four-diamond, 1,001-room Omni Dallas Hotel will offer five culinary selections, including the celebrated Bob’s Steak & Chop House, a state-of-the-art sports bar and a farm-to-table restaurant for a casual dining experience. Retail space, lounges, a signature Mokara Spa, urban pool deck offer convenience and luxury. The LEED Silver New Construction project includes utilization of recycled materials, irrigation supplied by recycled water, water-saving fixtures, guest room energy management systems and more. connected via a skybridge to the Dallas Convention Center, the Omni Dallas Hotel will incorporate over 110,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space. The hotel will comfortably accommodate groups of more than 3,300 attendees at any given time.

Sr. Project Manager

The Joule Hotel Historic Renovation -  Dallas, TX  -  $50,000,000  -  This 20-story, 129-room high-end, 5-star boutique hotel  consists of 83,940 square feet of renovated space and a 47,853-square-foot addition. Originally built in 1928, the renovation of the existing 17-story historic Dallas National Bank Building is part of the revitalization of the old financial district in downtown Dallas. The project included demolition of an existing 3-story structure and construction of a new 10-story concrete frame building. High finish details and luxury amenities are found throughout the hotel, which features a restaurant, rooftop pool deck, signature cantilevered pool, spa, loft style suites, penthouse, open air rooftop deck on the 20th floor, lounge/bar areas in the basement, and ballroom and meeting rooms. This building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Senior Project Manager

University of Texas Medical Branch Research Facilities / Expansion / Galveston, Texas / $35,100,000 / This project consisted of two major buildings/areas that encompassed major expansions and/or renovations.  One half of the project was the construction of a new 4-story wing onto the existing Physical Plant Building in order to house large animals and provide "shell" space for laboratory research and support. The second half of the project was the construction of a new 5-story Animal Research Center Complex that tied into two existing operational buildings -- 1108 Strand and Animal Research Center.  This complex houses a new BSL4 Laboratory a and shell space for future programs.

Project Manager

Houston Center Park Shops Renovation / Houston, Texas / $4,000,000 / The Park Shops is a three level retail building totaling 307,932 sf (97,203 sf common area, 20,000 sf loading dock, and 190,729 sf gross leaseable area that is attached to the 4 Houston Center Office building. All construction activities had to  be coordinated in a tight urban setting with little to no staging area and working around high-traffic times and occupied spaces which mandated off-hour construction.

Inter-Continental Hotel / Houston, Texas / $24,000,000 / This project consists of the addition of an 84,000 square foot, five level cast in place concrete garage, 74,000 square feet of Ballroom, Prefunction, Health Club and Kitchen facilities along with renovation of the site entrance, landscaping, porte cochere, lobby, bar and administration areas of the existing hotel.

Assistant Project Manager

University of Texas M.D.  Anderson Cancer Center / Rotary House Expansion / Houston, Texas / $14,300,000 / The expansion entails a matching exterior twelve-floor addition to the east wing of the Rotary House. Plans include nine floors with thirteen guest rooms each, an interstitial floor (for utility distribution and storage), the second floor for private executive suites with concierge, private dinning area, lounge and amenities, and one lower floor, which will be shelled for future use. 126 additional rooms for patients, families and guests were also added. This project represents a repeat relationship with UT since Centex built the original Rotary House Project in 1991.

Project Engineer

Cairn Energy / Gulf of Mexico / $24,000,000 / Offshore production platform and subsea pipeline.  Platform consisted of a 4 pile jacket and 3 level deck set in 300 ft of water.  Subsea 12" gas pipeline which ran for five miles on the ocean floor from a starting depth of 297 ft to a Sub-sea tap  at a depth of 258 ft.Shell Oil Company / Pascagula, Mississippi  /$145,000,000 / Performed Audit of Project Financials / Project Description - Offshore pipeline system made of a 36" main line and several smaller branch lines ranging from 8" to 24".  This system terminated at an onshore separation facility located in Pascagula, Mississippi.
