Liviu Mantescu is a highly accomplished professional with a vast academic background in political economy, sociology, and environmental studies. He is the founder and CEO at Watergenics, where he is building impact technology for assessing water quality anytime and anywhere. Additionally, he is an excellent bass player, which he enjoys playing when he’s not working. Liviu holds a Ph.D. magna cum laude from The Max Planck Institute for the Study of Sciences, where he studied Political Economy. He also holds a bachelor's degree in Sociology and Social Anthropology from the University of Bucharest and a Master's degree in Sociology from Université Rennes 2.

Previously, Liviu worked as a Venture Developer at Next Big Thing AG and as a research associate and postdoctoral researcher at Humboldt University of Berlin. He also worked as a consultant at WWF and European Environmental Bureau.
