Dirk Jan Moojen

Dr. Dirk Jan Moojen is an accomplished orthopedic surgeon and academic professional with a diverse educational background and extensive experience in orthopedic surgery, adult reconstruction, and orthopedic infections.

Dr. Moojen completed his education at renowned institutions including Utrechts Stedelijk Gymnasium, Universiteit Utrecht where he obtained his MD in Medicine, a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Orthopaedic Infections, and a Postgraduate Clinical Fellowship in Orthopaedic Surgery/Adult Reconstruction at the University of Toronto.

Throughout his career, Dr. Moojen has held various key roles, including serving as the Treasurer of the Dutch Orthopedic Infection Society at NOV/Dutch Orthopedic Society, a former Country Delegate for The Netherlands at the European Bone and Joint Infection Society, and as an Orthopaedic Surgeon and Consultant at OLVG.

His professional journey also includes notable positions such as Treasurer of the Medical Board at OLVG, Orthopaedic surgeon and Fellow in Lower Limb Reconstruction & Trauma at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, and engagements in residency programs and fellowships at respected medical facilities like UMC Utrecht, OLVG Amsterdam, and Medisch Centrum Alkmaar.
