Ashfaq Ishaq
Ashfaq Ishaq is a renowned economist, founder, and chair of the International Child Art Foundation (ICAF). He is also the former producer of the World Children's Festival and the publisher of ChildArt Quarterly. Armed with a Ph.D. and Master of Philosophy in Economics from the George Washington University, a Master of Public Administration (MPA) in Applied Economics from the University of the Punjab, Lahore, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Government College University (GCU), Lahore, Mr. Ishaq started his career as an economist at The World Bank. Later on, he taught as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Economics at The George Washington University. Weighing in on his vast experience, Mr. Ishaq believes that child art is one of the most honest and undiluted forms of human creative expression. Under his leadership, the ICAF has been on the forefront of cultivating children's creativity and promoting mutual empathy.
