Jerome Johnson
Jerome Johnson is making a difference in his community as a resident of Fort Worth, Texas. Jerome is an outgoing, energetic "people person" who enjoys working in a social environment. He has a degree in Marketing and Management and, at the moment, is a senior in sociology at the University of Texas at Arlington.
Jerome has served on several local committees and boards, including the Housing Channel Board of Directors, City of Fort Worth Community Action Partners Council, and former chairman of the City of Fort Worth Community Development Council. In 2016, he founded Lockett Family Charitable Foundation, a nonprofit organization named in honor of his maternal grandparents.
Jerome loves serving children, and he is the former Executive Director of the Children’s Defense Fund Freedom School at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas. He has worked previously as a Family Support Specialist at Urban Strategies, Inc, Career Counselor at C2 Global Professional Services, LLC, and Prevention Specialist at Volunteers of America-Texas.
Jerome is married to Debra Walton-Johnson, a banking professional. They have two children and are faithful members of Friendship West Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas.
