Watson has a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from Texas Southern University, a JD in Law from the University of Houston Law Center, a BA in Psychology from Rice University, and an MA in Psychology from Texas Southern University. She is currently the Vice President/Principal Attorney at Wallace & Watson, P.C and has previously worked as an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Houston Community College Central.
