Matt Nichols is a seasoned investor and operator with over 15 years of experience in technology startups. His main focus is on commerce and retail technology, where he has been highly successful. Currently a General Partner at Commerce Ventures, Matt has also held several key positions in leading companies. At Gemvara, a disruptive jewelry eCommerce business, he served as the CEO and played a lead role in the company's eventual acquisition by Berkshire Hathaway. In his position as Principal at Highland Capital Partners, Matt invested in and supported the development of several prominent companies such as Bullhorn, Pixable, Avamar and more. Matt's previous experience at Morgan Stanley Venture Partners and Google's corporate development team provides additional background to his versatile skillset. He is an MBA with high distinction from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and has a BA from Pomona College.
