Denis Bugrov
Denis Bugrov is a seasoned consultant with over two decades of experience in the financial services industry. He currently serves as a Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company, where he offers insights and support to leading financial institutions in Asia and beyond. Denis has an exceptional expertise in digital transformations, enterprise-level agility, and large-scale initiatives. He has been instrumental in driving growth for consumer-facing business lines such as retail, wealth, and insurance.
Before joining McKinsey, Denis Bugrov was a senior executive at Sberbank, Russia's largest financial institution. As the head of strategy and transformation, he oversaw the bank's M&A, marketing, and corporate functions. He was also responsible for leading the SME, retail, and wealth businesses. In total, he spent over seven years as a member of the management board at Sberbank, leading its transformation and strategic initiatives.
Denis is a graduate of The London School of Economics and Political Science, where he earned a BSc (Econ) degree with first-class honors, and INSEAD, where he completed his MBA with distinction. He also holds a summa cum laude diploma in International Economic Relations from Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) MFA Russia MGIMO.
Aside from his work, Denis is interested in public policy, politics, and culture. He enjoys reading good books and watching movies, as well as indulging in fine wine. He is also an accomplished snowboarder, a certified scuba diver, and an aspiring cyclist.
