Ken Fox
Ken Fox is a distinguished academic, teaching in the School of Media, Art and Design at Canterbury Christ Church University. He has a wealth of experience in the field and is known to be an expert in American cinema and cultural geography. Ken has a Bachelor of Education in English Language and Literature/Letters from St. Patrick's Teacher Training College, Dublin, a Masters in Education in Media Education from Trinity College, Dublin, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Film and Cultural Geography from Queen Mary, U. of London. Through his various academic and research projects, Ken has used his expertise to analyze the influence of home town cinema on cultural agents from the border regions of Ireland. He has been able to gather participants, including renowned poets, filmmakers, writers, and artists, interested in the study. Ken's work in teaching and developing employability opportunities in the curriculum through his establishment of the School's Industry Advisory Panel has earned him a Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy award and a University Teaching Fellowship in recognition of his excellent contribution to the field.
