Michelle Slavich is a seasoned entertainment industry professional who has spent over two decades in various roles across studios, startups, and nonprofits. She is currently the Vice President of Publicity for Film, Series & Documentaries at Netflix, where she oversees PR campaigns for all genres. Prior to her role at Netflix, Slavich served as the Executive Vice President of Global Publicity & Strategy at Warner Bros. Pictures, where she directed global publicity across all titles from Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema. Before that, Slavich was the Head of Entertainment Communications at Google's YouTube, where she led corporate, entertainment, and music PR efforts on the platform.
Slavich's career began with working as a publicity assistant at Steven Spielberg's nonprofit, Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation. From there, she worked as a coordinator/assistant at DreamWorks SKG - Amblin Entertainment for three years before moving on to the Rogers Group, where she worked on public affairs projects. Slavich returned to the entertainment industry as the Manager of Broadcast Publicity at NBC Universal - Universal Studios Home Entertainment. Her success there led to promotions as Director and Vice President of Publicity, where she oversaw hundreds of PR campaigns for Universal Pictures, Focus Features, and NBC.
Slavich studied at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she earned two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Anthropology. She was also a student at Acalanes High School.
