Lamees Baharna is a highly experienced risk management professional with a diverse educational background. She has a B. Eng. in Chemical Engineering from McGill University, studied Investments and Portfolio Management at CFA Institute, and passed the Certified Financial Risk Managers, FRM, Financial Risk Management program at the Global Association of Risk Professionals. She has also studied the Gulf Executive Program at University of Virginia Darden School of Business and the Registered Representative program at the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD). With all this knowledge and experience, Lamees is well-equipped to handle all aspects of risk management in any setting.

Lamees has held several significant positions throughout her career. She is currently the Chief Risk Officer at Oman Arab Bank. Prior to that, she served as the Head of Risk Management at Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company ("Mumtalakat"), the VP of Risk Management at Gulf International Bank, and the AVP of Senior Compliance and Operations Officer at Lehman Brothers. She has also worked for Merrill Lynch as a Financial Consultant and was the Manager of the Private Banking Unit at National Bank of Bahrain. Furthermore, she was the President at CFA Society Bahrain and served as the CFA Presidents Council Representative for East Europe, Middle East, and Africa at CFA Institute.

Lamees has also been a Board Member at Capital Secretarial Council and has a wealth of experience in establishing frameworks, regulatory requirements, policies and procedures, risk assessments, and credit reviews. She is a seasoned professional with a diverse skill set that qualifies her to provide valuable insights into all aspects of risk management.
