Terence Lam is a renowned music industry expert and entrepreneur with invaluable experience spanning several years. He is currently the Co-Chairman of Premier Music Group, LLC, an innovative music company established to optimize revenue in the budding global urban music and culture market. Prior to this, Terence co-founded Downtown Music LLC, which includes music publishing, online and recording studios, and the iconic independent record label, Downtown Records. As Co-Chairman, he oversaw the success of the record label, which was home to several notable artists, including Gnarls Barkley, Diplo, Santigold, Cold War Kids, Major Lazer, Smino, Miike Snow, Justice, and Brett Dennen, among others.

Before co-founding Downtown Music LLC, Terence worked at MTV Networks in VH1’s Music and Talent department, where he worked with many top artists of that period. Terence earned a BA in English from Tufts University and later pursued an MBA in Marketing at the New York University Stern School of Business.
