Terry McDonell
Terry McDonell is a multifaceted professional with over three decades of experience in various fields, ranging from education to oil & gas. He is presently a Career Technology Education teacher at Bryan High School, Bryan, Texas, where he is lauded for his expertise in teaching Architecture and Computer Science. Prior to this, he served as a Substitute Teacher for Tomball ISD from March 2015 to May 2016.
Terry has an impressive track record in the oil & gas industry, where he served as a Senior Interface Manager for Maersk Oil's Chissonga Development Project, offshore Angola. He oversaw the management of interfaces between three major EPIC contractors and Company's internal interfaces within Project Groups. He also served as an Interface Manager for ExxonMobil’s Development Company on the Alaskan Point Thomson Project, where he managed critical interfaces with co-venturers, engineering, logistics and construction contractors, as well as Company production, subsurface and drilling groups.
Terry's extensive experience includes managing multidiscipline teams and leading successful completion of major projects, such as subsea repair/installation of flow lines, risers, Arctic developments of new oil fields, gas field developments in the North Sea, and production platforms in the Northern sector of the North Sea. He possesses excellent people skills that enable him to work effectively with all levels of executive management and project support staff.
Terry McDonell has a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University, and an Associates Degree in Engineering from Tonkawa Junior College.
