Simon Penson is a business leader, investor, and content innovation specialist with a passion for audience creation and digital marketing. With a background in journalism and experience in building and exiting two digital businesses, Penson has become an expert in identifying shifts in consumer behavior and building businesses around them.

As a partner at Haatch Ventures LLP, Penson invests in founder-led businesses and helps them develop and grow with his experience and knowledge. He has invested in a range of companies, from virtual reality soft skills training to wine lists, and has served on the board of several companies such as Re-flow, Stickyeyes, and Habitat Property Group.

Before becoming an investor, Penson founded and managed Zazzle Media, a digital marketing agency that was acquired by IPG. Prior to that, he worked for Bauer Media as MD of Digital Projects and EMAP as Editor of Max Power.

An English, economics, business studies, and politics graduate from Boston Grammar School, Penson furthered his education with a GNVQ4 in Journalism at Vocational Course. He combines his passion for technology with his expertise in content and strategy to help businesses thrive in the ever-changing digital landscape.
