Iain Duncan is a software architecture, technical management, and acquisition consultant at Crosslake Tech, with plenty of experience leading teams, conducting technical due diligence, and providing consulting to companies in transition. With a master's degree in music tech from the University of Victoria and over 20 years of experience as a jazz saxophonist and computer musician, Iain brings a creative perspective to his work, particularly when it comes to dynamic languages, application architecture, application security, database design, and distributed services. He's also an experienced presenter, comfortable in client-facing roles of all types.

Prior to his current position, Iain held senior positions at SilkStart Technology Inc., Semaphore Solutions, and XORNOT Studios, amongst others, and has worked on numerous software development and course curriculum development projects as a contractor. In addition to his tech work, Iain has a passion for audio and multimedia hardware/software projects, sleight of hand card magic, and juggling up to seven balls.
