Kurt Bedell is a marketing strategist, communicator, and business developer. He has over 20 years of experience in high-tech marketing, business development, and sales. He started his career at Apple, working on strategic market development, regional development, and finally the Education Marketing Manager. He worked as the Director of Strategic Market Development and the Higher Education Marketing Manager at Apple Computer, Inc. Kurt also worked at Apex Learning as the Director of Strategic Market Development. Additionally, he worked as the Marketing and Communications Manager, School of Social Work, and Senior Communications Specialist at Portland State University, before leaving his senior marketing role at Apple. Kurt is now the Associate Director of Marketing at Portland State University, where he is committed to expanding public higher education opportunities for students from underserved populations. He is also a former Marketing and Development Consultant and has expertise in retail branding, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and program vision and implementation. Kurt has a B.A. in history from Northwestern University. Kurt believes in the power of words and images to connect with customers and help organizations embrace change, harness its power to reinvent and grow, and tell powerful stories that elevate important work.
