Steve Gould is a highly accomplished senior executive with vast leadership experience in an entrepreneurial environment. A medical professional with an M.D. from Boston University School of Medicine and a degree in B.A. from Williams College. He is the Consulting Director at Polsky Science Ventures at Polsky Center at the University of Chicago and former Chairman and CEO at Northfield Laboratories Inc. with a specialization in strategic planning, private and public financings, regulatory affairs, preclinical and clinical development, manufacturing and quality programs, business development, commercialization planning, corporate communications, and corporate governance.

He has held several positions in various organizations, including Member Board of Directors at MATTER, Entrepreneur-in-Residence Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at The University of Chicago, Chairman & CEO at Northfield Laboratories Inc., and Chief of Surgery at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center, to name a few.
