Amy Swearer is a legal policy analyst with extensive experience in criminal justice, law, and public defense. With a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Nebraska College of Law, she has dedicated her career to advocating for justice, especially for underserved communities. After working as a law clerk at Lancaster County (NE) Public Defender's Office, Swearer took up positions at the Charles Koch Foundation and The Heritage Foundation. She is currently a Senior Legal Policy Analyst at The Heritage Foundation, where she investigates firearm policy issues and publishes research primarily aimed at advancing the Second Amendment.
