He pursued his MBA at the University of California, Los Angeles at The Anderson School of Management after obtaining his BA from Boston College. In addition to this, he studied at the University of New South Wales during his academic career.

Matt Hersh has served as a Principal and Vice President at Fika Ventures where he is responsible for identifying and investing in start-ups with exceptional potential. He has also advised companies such as MuckerLab and Surf Air and had a leadership role in his past companies such as Factual Inc and Originate. As Head of Business Development, Enterprise at Factual Inc he led partnerships with industry giants such as Amazon and IBM, and grew revenue by $10 million. He also played a key role in expanding Originate's client base and doubling revenue in less than two years.

Before joining Factual, Matt worked as a Senior Manager of Business Development at Envestnet - Yodlee, where he developed strategic partnerships with leading financial institutions.

In addition, Matt worked at Apple as a Business Planning & Analysis Intern and JetBlue Airways as a Manager of Interactive Marketing and Planning Analyst and Founding Employee.
