I took responsibility for technical delivery processes and lead efforts to automate them where possible.As well as supporting engineers with code review and architectural decisions, I created several tools for process automation, including:• Usher (Rails) - JIRA ticket management automation, saving Product Managers an average of 1 hour per day in trivial ticket management• Marshall (Sinatra) - Custom CI triggering based on source changes, lowering build times from hours to minutes (e.g. avg Android build was taking 3 hours. With Marshall it lowered to 25 mins)• Monorepo - migrated the team to a Monorepo to encourage code reuse and empower automation

Second employee and first engineer, delivering proof of concepts, initial 1.0 release and continued development, assisting the CEO in fund raising and collaborating on the architecture of our entire stack.Automated our shipping process and workflows (PRs, cert updates etc.) to ensure I could focus on value delivery. Created a stubbed version of the app that worked without any network connection to enable faster demoing and testing of particular features (automated and manual).

I was presented with the opportunity to work as part of the Business Team after consistently delivering great results in sales and customer experience as a Specialist on the shop floor. I was lucky to be on the Business Team whilst it was due to undergo some big changes. It gave me first hand experience with organisational changes within the team, sales strategy changes, and individual responsibility changes. Most of these changes were experimental in the effort to integrate the team better with the rest of the store and deliver a better experience to business customers. Feedback and improvements to the changes came directly from myself and the team. Whilst at Morrisons I played roles in several departments of the store. Starting with stacking shelves in the grocery aisles, on to working at a checkout till, then to the cafe waiting tables, washing dishes and preparing meals. My last few months at Morrisons were spent working in the fresh produce aisles rotating and auditing stock.
