Mark Neithercut is the President and Owner of Neithercut Philanthropy Advisors (NPA), a firm that manages the philanthropic affairs for a select group of families and advises foundations on how to engage in effective and rewarding philanthropy. Prior to starting NPA, Mark has held various positions such as Vice President, Program at Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, Program Officer at The Kresge Foundation, Research Associate, Associate Professor (Research), Adjunct Professor of Geography & Urban Planning at Wayne State University, and Instructor / Assistant Professor of Geography at University of Alabama. He has also obtained a Master's degree in Geography from Michigan State University and a Ph.D. in Geography (Environmental History / Historical Geography) from The University of British Columbia. Furthermore, he has completed his Bachelor of Arts (BA) in American History (United States) at University of Michigan and his "A" levels in English and Economics at Cranleigh School. With these experiences and academic accomplishments, Mark has acquired skills in philanthropy, advising, management, research, geography, urban planning, environmental history, and American history.
