As the Engineering Community Manager, I was responsible for programs that strengthen ties between engineers, attracting outside engineers to Opower through establishing a presence in the technical community, and enhancing engineers’ job satisfaction and effectiveness through ongoing technical learning.  After a short time, the successes I had in Engineering were recognized enough that I was asked to broaden the scope of the role and act as the company-wide community manager.Basically, I'm making sure Opower's engineering culture is one of the most bad ass cultures in software.
