Through the University I was placed into the Pyramid scheme in which after school clubs were set up once a week for a duration of ten weeks. The clubs were designed for shy children with low self-esteem and confidence aiming to intervene before any potential issues could present themselves. My role was Team Leader along with three others also from studying the same course as me. It was an invaluable experience as it meant I could implement some of the techniques I had learnt during my time studying Psychology and really see the potential applications of the subject. 
Additionally working with children was a exciting and new experience for me one which was enjoyed thoroughly. The progress of each individual child was documented each week to allow for a progress report at the end of the placement. 
Observing the progress of the children over the course of the ten weeks made the whole experience worthwhile.

During my time at LOLA event staffing i enjoyed many responsibilities within the hospitality sector including serving customers to an extremely high standard, dealing with additional requests and also the handling of money. People skills was a key skill to have within the organisation. 

This company opened up a lot of doors and allowed me to meet and work for some fantastic individuals. The jobs were in events and hospitality and saw me work at some incredible venues and serve very important people. 
My work as a wine waiter at the Shard in central London got me an offer for a full time job there which I unfortunately couldn't take them up on as I was still studying as university.

During my time at Shangdi-La Hotels and Resorts my role was primarily a waiter which included serving champaign and appetisers as well as main courses to clients. Additional responsibilities included setting up banquet rooms, making everything was in place before the clients arrived.

This company was set up by close friends of mine and hosts special student nights as the student union, local clubs as well as places such as Ministry of Sound and Notting Hill Arts Club. My role is to promote the nights and sell as many tickets as I could as well as helping people with any queries they may have on the night.

This company was also found through the job agency which was completed during the summer of 2013 while I was home from university. The company primarily deals with computer programming of car parts including dashboards and engine drivers for Land Rover, Mini, Porsche and Vauxhall. 
My job as computer programmer was to upload new software to the drive holders ready to be installed onto the dashboard components before they were shipped to customers. 
At the end of the 6 week placement I was offered a full time job as they said they were impressed with what they had seen. Unfortunately I couldn't take them up on this offer as I had to return to London to continue with my studies in the September of that year.

At both of these very prestigious establishments I held the position of Sales representative and promoter. My job was the make sure the clubs were busy, everyone had a great night and wanted to return in the future. My people skills improved dramatically while I was working here as I had to think of new, innovative methods of getting people interested in a club that they would not normally go to. I decided to make posters to place around the University buildings and set up a Facebook page to attract interest which proved very successful.

Held the position of Sales Assistant in the Redditch branch (Midlands). The main role assigned to me was head cashier so involved cashing in the tills at the start of the day before open for business, helping customers with their transactions and cashing up the tills at the end of the day to put securely in the safe overnight. On many instances I would have to arrive early and stay after business hours to help management with finances. 
As I was the face of the store I would frequently have to deal with unsatisfied or even angry customers. I took this in my stride and saw it as a leaning experience. I gained many skills while working here including improving my overall confidence, decision making capabilities and people skills.

I was employed by Londis in the summer of 2010 where I was in charge of a large petrol station and shop for a large majority of the time. Restocking shelves, cleaning, pricing as well as rearranging goods and dealing with customer queries and large amounts of money were all common activities in this role. Additionally I aided in the opening and locking up of the establishment on many occasions.

Here I held the position of Recreation Assistant (working primarily at Pershore High School Astroturf facilities). The role included me having my own office on site with the responsibility of own set of keys not just for the astroturf but for the in-school facilities also such as the sports hall. Main duties included preparation of equipment for sports teams, rearranging set-ups to ensure a swift transition between bookings. I also dealt with queries and booking myself, relaying communications back and forth between the main site at Pershore Leisure centre. The role needed me to have very good organisational abilities as I was responsible for everyone on site. Taking phone calls and balancing timesheet was another key role.
