Puneet Chopra, M.D., FACEP

Puneet Chopra, MD, FACEP is an accomplished emergency medicine physician with extensive experience in healthcare management and clinical leadership. He completed his Doctor of Medicine at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health from the renowned Johns Hopkins University School of Education. Dr. Chopra also completed his Emergency Medicine Residency from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, where he honed his skills in acute patient care, trauma, and critical care.

As the Managing Partner at Alteon Health, Dr. Chopra has been responsible for leading and managing a team of emergency medicine physicians and support staff. Previously, he served as the Chief Medical Officer of Telemedicine at Sky Physicians, where he oversaw the development and deployment of telemedicine technologies and services. He has also served as the Chairman & Medical Director of Emergency Medicine & Observation Services at Doctors Community Hospital and as an Attending Physician at several prestigious institutions such as Sibley Memorial Hospital, University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center, Reston Hospital, and Prince William Health System.

Dr. Chopra is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) and the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM), among others. He is also a Fellow of the ACEP, a distinction awarded to individuals who have made significant contributions to the specialty of emergency medicine.
