Kaushik Kappagantulu, an accomplished social entrepreneur, has spent over a decade creating scalable solutions for rural communities in India. With a BTech and MTech in Mining Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur), Kaushik went on to earn an MBA from Columbia Business School, where he won the Nathan Gantcher Prize for Social Enterprise and the Tamer Grant for Social Ventures.

Kaushik's success as a social entrepreneur is evidenced by his accomplishments in leadership roles within various organizations. He helped B-ABLE scale from having one training center to 200 across 14 states in India, where they trained over 50,000 school dropouts every year. At Kheyti, the organization he founded, Kaushik has developed a low-cost Greenhouse-in-a-Box solution to help smallholder farmers fight climate change while growing 7 times more food using 90% less water.

Kaushik's work in social entrepreneurship has been recognized globally, winning him numerous awards and accolades. He was recognized as an Acumen India Fellow in 2014 and was an Elevate Prize winner in 2021. He is also a DRK Foundation Entrepreneur and a Founding Advisor at YellowLeaf Solutions.
