Meet Carl Thorne-Thomsen, an education expert with a vast background stemming from his experience as an educator, administrator, ed-tech product leader, and VP of partnerships at Civitas Learning. He earned his MBA with a focus on finance and entrepreneurship from the University of Texas at Austin's Red McCombs School of Business, where he maintained an impressive GPA of 3.78 out of 4.0. He also has a bachelor's degree in economics and philosophy from the University of Texas at Austin.

Before joining Civitas Learning, Carl worked for Dallas ISD as a Math Teacher and Head Tennis Coach at Kimball High School where his passion for helping students and teachers grew. Aside from his teaching role, he also served as Campus Instructional Coach and Math Department Chair for five years. In Education Pioneers' Graduate School, he was a fellow, where he was able to build his knowledge in creating social impact through the education system.

In his current position at Civitas Learning, Carl is responsible for leading partnerships and assisting schools in addressing student success problems. Additionally, through leveraging his depth of experience, he helps schools identify and create plans to tackle their most pressing issues while creating exciting and effective solutions.
