The 3GP Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating multiple project activities related to the company's oil and gas operations. The 3GP Project Manager collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including Base Business Operations to support TCO's safe and reliable operations, strategic objectives, and stakeholder management.  

The Future Growth Project (FGP) 3GP Project Manager involves overseeing and leading various aspects of the project. The role requires a combination of industry knowledge, management skills, and technical understanding. The Project Manager is responsible for Project Planning, Stakeholder Management, Budget Management, Team Leadership, Contract Negotiations and Management, Project Performance, Documentation and Reporting, and Continuous Improvement of the Cost, Schedule, and performance on the project.  

Project Managers are integral to the success of the company's complex oil and gas projects. They play a critical role in ensuring that resources are effectively allocated, projects are executed efficiently, and that TCO's strategic goals are met. Given the nature of the oil and gas industry, safety, compliance, and resource optimization are paramount in this role.

Primary role to drive performance through both analytical decision-making opportunities and working with the Site teams to lead and drive the delivery of HPLP Start-Up. This includes weekly Strategic Leadership meetings with Systems Completion, Operations, and Novus leadership. Drive Site execution of Systems Completion scope to deliver not only better performance but maximizing our site Systems Completion (commissioning) teams in areas that will accelerate and deliver HPLP scope.

Lead the development of key interface tools and Strategies to not only report status of multiple project teams, but to aid in the decision-making process for changes in execution that would gain the most value from our project. My day-to-day interfaces aside from each project team and SPM included the Start-Up & Transition Manager, TCO/FGP OPS Managers, Project Director, and other senior managers through EBU. 

Additionally, I led the development of our Systems Completion tools and data used across FGP, the Digital Development of Digital Tablets for execution teams to perform QVDs, RVDs, and Checksheets on our project and enabling the project to remove paper handovers. I led the development of the tools used in executive meetings, and our own internal executive meetings. 

Using previous knowledge of Systems Completion (previous SC Manager) and a highly skilled and diverse team we have been able to develop key tools recognized across the Enterprise as “Best Practice” for new developing projects. We have been requested to deliver many spotlight presentations not only for Senior Executive Managers and Partners.

Strategic Execution & Analytics Manager

Managed FGP Strategic Integrated Roadmap, Integrated Fishbone, SWIFT Management Dashboard development and use w/KPJV (Fluor) Counterpart. Overall responsibility for ensuring project strategically focused on priorities that would directly alter the success of the overall project. Managing large team (90+) of coordinators and Digital development teams, in cost saving, value added projects.

Develop and implement strategic management tools for multibillion-dollar worldwide projects, most recently for Future Growth Project (FGP) in Kazakhstan.

FGP Systems Completion Lead, responsible for the development of our systemization process, systems Completion Budget Estimate and Cost forecast, Systems Completion Contract formation and Execution, Systems Completion organization, overseeing contracting companies scope, Systemized P&ID review, Systemized One Lines,  and other Commissioning Activities. Also involved in the Planning and Estimating as it pertains to System Completions portion of the scope.

FGP Systems Completion Lead

Oversee planning, prioritization, and execution of Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning activities in accordance with commissioning sequence, leading to turnover to Operations. Ensure all system completion contract requirements met prior to turnover.Support HU Leads in establishing prioritization and execution of HU works as they transition from area based construction to systems based completion.Monitor/assess/influence Contractor work planning, including resource requirements for pre-commissioning and commissioning execution.Provide work direction to the commissioning discipline engineers, following work prioritization established by Commissioning Manager.Coordination and review of system/ sub-system walkdowns. Monitor Punch List Items status and prioritize close-out according to commissioning schedule. Interfacing with Operations Group on Permit To Work and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews, including SIMOPS activities occuring post-hydrocarbon introduction. Ensure an effective preservation plan is in place.Provide Operations with start-up support and assistance as needed. Interfacing with Subsea Pipeline Group during pipeline pre-commissioning, ensuring proper systems in place to complete tie-ins. Assist in daily / weekly / monthly report preparation. Provide input on the temporary MOC process.

Commissioning Lead

Develop new System Completions (SC) strategies, procedures, and IP. Oversee multiple MCP’s globally within North America, South America, Africa, Nigeria, and Asia via consulting with the Project Execution teams for those projects. Assist projects to develop their Contracting Strategy beginning in Phase 2, Phase 3 & 4 cost budgets, estimates, schedule, ITB's contracts, and overall system completions plan. Attend and lead teams in System Completions Workshops, PEER assists, cold eye reviews, and Chevron interviews of new and potential talent. Provide mentorship to new Chevron Horizon employees, develop contractor company alliance to streamline contractors who are currently working for Chevron to use our corporate systems completion processes and train personal on future projects. Teach System Completions via our new PMA courses.

Systems Completion Coordinator

Manage the development of Phase 3 and 4 budget and schedule, staffing, commissioning bids, and manpower. Develop Systematic P&ID’s, PFDs, and hire System Completions team for South N’Dola. Write System Completions Scope and contractor requirements; formulate Loss and Damages language, and participate in contract negotiations. Hire System Completions team to work under myself and on other scopes such as Pipeline, Subsea Wye, and Brownfield. Interface with current Business Units regarding upcoming shut-down timing, scope, and impacts. Create System Completion organization based off of PRC’s SC IP. Attend PLT (Project Leadership Team meeting)s.

System Completions Manager / HUC Manager

Lead in the development of business teams schedules, estimates, Bids, budgets, and manpower. Schedule development with EPCI contractors and Angolan Government (50% Partner of South N’Dola). Verify progress and accuracy of information provided to CHEVRON by contractors and partners; foresee construction timelines, man power, resources and construction issues. Oversee resource loading bidders schedule with manpower provided during the bid to ensure work can be done in the amount of time provided in their bid schedule.

Lead Planner

Responsible for the onshore pre-commissioning at contractors fabrication yard, the offshore Hook-Up work, offshore commissioning, and the start-up and transition work. Determined when to mobilize Chevron’s vendors and third party contractors. Manage HUC Plan at the fabrication yard to start pre-commissioning scope that was developed by our HUC team. Determined and planned the SOW and schedule with the transportation / installation of the WI Module and SI work. Write, Reviewed, and executed OTP’s (Operational Test Procedures). Interfaced with sub-contractors to ensure that they understand their scope, manpower needs, schedule requirements, and are able to use our checksheets that were developed during detailed engineering. Developed a priority sequence based upon schedule, manpower and/or budgets and forecasts, Developed post installation offshore SOW; managed the commissioning team; and created and maintained HUC budgets. Responsible for the HUC budget and all reporting.  Witnessed FAT’s; Interfaced with management (DWEP) and GOM to minimize SI time; and ensured that all work is completed while true “IIF” culture is maintained. Once offshore the HUC Engineer’s role switched to managing the final installation of the WIM and SU of Tahiti 2 with minimum impact to Tahiti (Brownfield) and Punch List Close out. CHESM Audits, Site Safety Leadership Team Member, and Risk Analysis Team.

Systems Completion Engineer / HUC Engineer

Key Projects:
Project Coordinator, Chevron Tahiti, UpStream Offshore: Created manpower loading and staffing plan and curves. Reviewed Water Injection System and assisted on technical manual development.

Project Engineer, ULSD OSBL & ISBL: Conducted ISO review, P&ID checks, PFDs, and squad checks. Served as single point of contact between pipe shops and field. 

Project Controller – 48” Mixed Reaction Live Valve Project: Managed installation of Z&J Conduit Gate Valve into Reactor O/H Line.

Field Engineer, LSFO and ISOMAX Flare Gas Recovery (FGR): Oversaw contractors and sub-contractors, reviewing cost, scheduling, and manpower loading.

Lead Project Controls, Coker Unit 450, Revamp and Benzene Reduction Projects:  Conducted review of PEPs, trends, engineering staffing, and engineering estimates. Collaborated with Project Manager to analyse project, generate FEED, and create detailed engineering and construction schedule.

Sr. Cost Analyst/Scheduler, MCA UpStream Project: Performed cost analysis, earned vs. expended, and progress reporting. Developed equipment purchasing plan, trend analysis, and approval and scheduling.
