Roland Torres

Dr. Roland Torres, a nationally recognized Neurotrauma and NeuroCritical Expert, recently made a transition from Academia to join the esteemed Neurosurgical practice group Orlando Neurosurgery.

With a wealth of experience, Dr. Torres will primarily be serving at Advent Health Celebration and Advent Health Florida South, the top hospital in Florida according to US News & World Report.

Having held faculty positions at prestigious institutions such as Stanford University, University of Miami, and University of Florida-Gainesville, Dr. Torres brings extensive expertise in open Cerebrovascular Neurosurgery, Neuro-Endoscopy, and is fellowship trained in Neuro-Oncology and Complex Spine.

Dr. Torres is a retired United States Air Force member and has contributed significantly to moderating Neurosurgical Scientific sessions while collaborating with industry on innovative technologies for Traumatic Brain Injuries.

His educational background includes studying at renowned institutions such as the University of California, San Francisco, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of Chicago, UCLA, and Columbia University in the City of New York.

Currently an Attending Neurosurgeon at Orlando Neurosurgery, Dr. Torres has previously held key positions like Chairman of the Dept. of Neurosurgery at Alaska Native Medical Center, Chief of Neurosurgery at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, and Associate Professor roles at various medical schools.
