Alan Barry BSc, MBA(WITS)

Alan BSc is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in Information Technology, Property, Materials Science, Chemical and Gases Industries, where he has worked with Retail, Financial and Telecommunications Industries. He is the Director of Griffin Property Commercial and Industrial, where he leads sales and leasing of commercial and industrial property in Sydney. Alan has also served as a Consultant at netcat.biz, Sales Manager at EMC, Country Manager at Kronos, Managing Director/Country Manager at Tandem Computers, and Business Solutions Manager at Amdahl.

Alan has an impressive academic background, with a BSc in Chemistry & Geology from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, and an MBA in Strategy, Marketing & Statistics from the University of the Witwatersrand, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Finance through the Securities Institute of Australia, and a Diploma in Business(Property) from the Real Estate Institute (NSW). Alan’s expertise lies in Leadership, General Management, Project Management, and Sales Management, and he has honed his negotiation skills in selling large capital items to establish long-term relationships with large corporate accounts.

Through his experience as a Company Director, General Management, and Senior Management roles in various industries, Alan has the knowledge and experience to act as a board member and a director of an Australian company, through his understanding of the latest amendments of the Corporations act of 2001.
