Mani Sivasubramanian is a pediatric cardiothoracic surgeon, social entrepreneur, and author based in Chennai. He is widely recognized for his efforts on raising funds to sponsor life-saving heart surgery for children with congenital heart disease (CHD) through his foundation, Dr.Mani Children Heart Foundation. Mani leverages technology to develop distributed health delivery systems, spreads awareness about cardio-metabolic disorders, and screens at-risk populations for preventable diseases. Through his books, '47 Hearts' and 'Heart, Guts & Steel,' Mani inspires readers to make a difference in the world and join his cause in healing a child's heart. He studied at Madras Medical College, where he completed his M.Ch. in Cardiothoracic Surgery, and at Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School. Mani is currently a consultant pediatric cardiothoracic surgeon at M.R. Hospitals in Chennai, where he applies his medical expertise and experience to provide care to his young patients.
