Dr Nafees Malik

Dr Nafees Malik is a medical doctor and business professional with a deep understanding of the biopharmaceutical industry, particularly in the cell and gene therapy sectors. With experience at world-class investment banks such as Barclays Capital, Panmure Gordon, Lehman Brothers and Societe Generale, as well as top biopharma companies like GSK and Pfizer, Dr Malik has a proven track record in business development, medical affairs, investment banking, and equity research. In addition, he has conducted extensive research on the commercialization, reimbursement and clinical adoption of CAR-T cell therapies, gene therapies and other advanced therapies, resulting in multiple publications in prestigious journals including Nature and Lancet. He is also the CEO of Asklepian Consulting, which specializes in asset valuation and commercialization strategies for advanced therapies. Dr Malik holds an MBChB in Medicine from the University of Liverpool and an MPhil in Bioscience Enterprise from the University of Cambridge. He is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at AgeX Therapeutics, Inc.
