Senior Partner, Head Marketing & Client Experiences

Built and led the client engagement and retention through unique and differentiated client experiences, IP’s and content led events to support overall business objectives and positively impact P&L. Executed over 500 experiential marketing activities during this tenure. A clean sweep of Euromoney Private Banking Awards - winning all 16 categories for India - a historical moment! •	Built and led unique, innovative events and experiences, globally, leading to better brand building, client engagement and retention; helped increase client wallet share by 23% in addition to conversions of new prospects. •	Design-built an exclusive APP to seamlessly integrate the entire event experience for clients, given the number of events executed each year. •	Published a research report ‘Wealth Index’, which provides insights into investment outlook, behavioral analysis and mandate of the HNI/UHNI in the country. Executed along with Wealth-X, a leading UHNI focused research company based in London, covering over 500 UHNI’s. •	Industry-first launch of AI based client video statements. It won us the prestigious Echo award.•	Created several IP's to improve client stickiness and increased client wallet share by 18%. •	Led negotiations and closures for several strategic alliances with relevant platforms as well as industry bodies for brand building and client prospecting. Partner & Head - Client Experience

Founded and led IIFL Wealth’s global marketing strategy to drive business growth, enhance existing relationships and increase brand visibility. Grew Assets under Management from approximately 3,500 crs to INR 80,000 crs. Setup the digital marketing group to start the digital and social media presence. •	Re-launched the brand globally in November 2016, consolidating all the subsidiaries under an umbrella brand, in the process creating a wealth and asset management powerhouse. •	Led the client acquisition team to ensure a continuous feed of qualified leads in the sales funnel. Increased new lead generation by 350%. Improved processes and data analytics resulting in a 78% increase in prospect outreach and reducing duplication by almost 80%. •	Launched a new website and App (both iOS & Android) integrated with client MIS which allowed them to access their portfolio details anytime, anywhere. •	Part of the core team to build a QRM system for quicker client query resolution. Result: Client query turnaround time reduced from 20 days to 2 days. •	Commissioned an independently authored non-fiction, business genre book ‘The Wealth Wallahs’ – published by Bloomsbury, covering the story of IIFL Wealth and its key clients which became a best-seller, selling over 12,000 copies. •	Published a unique Coffee Table Book featuring client stories, used and proved to be a great acquisition tool.

Sr. Vice President - Marketing

Within a year and half of joining, the company identified the criticality of marketing for Brand visibility and success. My previous experience in marketing, sales, and branding helped me in drafting a strategy and defining the path. For the next two years, the focus was on building brand awareness, differentiation and loyalty.o Designed and delivered all aspects of marketing and brand strategy - generating brand awareness and enhancing reputation; delivering multi-channel (ATL, BTL and digital) projects and campaigns; acquiring new clients and retaining existing ones.o Designed and launched the company website.o Launched the Family Office Proposition with held-away assets capability to provide clients with a one-view of their portfolio across multi-managers.o Lead the migration of a newly acquired local wealth management outfit in Pune, from a brand standpoint, as well as assisted in smooth transition of their clients onto our platform. o Along with the backoffice and operations team, helped in the system clean-up and appropriate segmentation of existing clients, basis the new business model designed. Managed a three member team over five months to execute this nationwide. o Won the first series of awards for the firm catapulting it into the top wealth management companies of the country.o Improved new lead generation by over 150% and reduced duplication by 58% by re-designing the process using scientific methods, increased the prospect funnel by widening the research areas, better allocation, tracking and follow-ups.

Vice President - Marketing

Joined IIFL Wealth when it was just a year-old subsidiary of India Infoline, to set up and lead the L&D function. Started a formal induction training program; tied up with a financial training company to design and implement a three level online - anytime - anywhere access,  internal certification program for all the relationship managers, country-wide. In addition, rolled out a soft skills and etiquette training program for all client facing roles. Also developed training videos on all products and services offered by the company, which were made available on the intranet.

AVP - Learning & Development

Led the pan India sales and marketing strategy for retail training programmes, increasing the turnover by 29% YoY. Explored the franchising route, however post 4 months of market research, I advised the management not to proceed, saving several million rupees, which otherwise would have been spent in implementation. Was part of the core team to negotiate and finalise Private Treaty Partnership with Bennet Coleman Group. Designed the ‘train and hire’ model for clients such as IBM, Dell and Genpact.Got a leading global advertising agency to assist in brand building and product sales. This was one of my earlier experiences in on-ground activation and audience engagement, which helped me understand its importance in improving brand value and revenue.

Running two entrepreneurial ventures equipped me with a thorough understanding of the processes required to set up a business in India. This gave me the opportunity to spearhead the project of relocating the world’s #1 specialty paper mill from Zurich to India. As a management graduate fresh out of B-school, it was a big learning curve which helped me implement theoretical lessons in real life scenarios. Was dealing with engineers, four state governments, and speacialists in the field. The project eventually was shelved.

It sharpened my knowledge of handling a franchise network, P&L, IT infrastructure, marketing, logistics, branding, sales, HR, legal and compliance, strategy, finance, product development, product packaging, promotions, and ATL & BTL activities.Franchised and managed 43 of the 221 national centres in Eastern India. Signed up several schools across the country including the largest school in Asia with over 10,000 children. Sold the business in 2004 for a profit.
