Allen W. Nelson

Allen Nelson is an experienced advisor to boards of directors and senior executives of public and private companies with a global leadership background. He has served as a General Counsel in both privately-held technology businesses and public companies, showcasing expertise in various areas of law and management.

His extensive experience includes mergers and acquisitions on domestic, international, and cross-border scales, ethics and compliance (including FCPA and anti-corruption laws), public company compliance and disclosure, board of directors management, cyber-security, commercial contracts, government relations, negotiations, internal investigations, litigation, international commercial arbitration, intellectual property, and more.

Known for his persuasive communication skills, collaborative approach as a business partner, and a creative problem-solving strategist, Allen Nelson is also a Senior Lecturing Fellow at Duke University School of Law. At Duke, he teaches an upper-level course on in-house practice.
