Anishah Cumber is an accomplished attorney with a background in family law, child advocacy, and providing legal aid to underserved communities. She is a graduate of Amherst College, where she studied law, jurisprudence, and social thought. Later, she earned her J.D. from the prestigious University of Virginia School of Law.

Anishah has held several prestigious positions throughout her career, including that of Staff Attorney at the Legal Aid Bureau of Maryland, where she worked in the Family Law Unit. She has also been a Staff Attorney at the Robin Hood Project at Advocates for Children of New York, where she assisted low-income families in navigating their educational rights. Additionally, she has worked as a Program Youth and Transition at INCLUDEnyc (formerly Resources for Children with Special Needs), providing legal services to children with disabilities and their families.
