Zain Khalpey is a highly accomplished cardiac surgeon and medical executive with extensive training and experience in academia, research, and clinical practice. He is the Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Chief Medical AI officer, and Director of the Heart & Vascular Institute at Northwest Medical Center. He has also held several prestigious academic positions, including associate professor in cardiothoracic surgery, biomedical engineering, and regenerative medicine at the University of Arizona.
Dr. Khalpey received his medical degree from the United Medical & Dental Schools of Guy's & St Thomas' Hospitals, University of London, UK. He completed his residency in general and cardiothoracic surgery at various hospitals in the UK, including St Mary's Hospital, Royal Brompton Hospital, and Addenbrookes NHS Trust.
