Rachel Oppenheim
Rachel Oppenheim is an accomplished educator with a strong focus on multicultural and urban education as well as disability studies. She has an impressive educational background, having received her Ed.D. in Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, where she also previously served as a Supervisor/Instructor. She also holds an M.Ed. in Elementary Education from Loyola Marymount University and a B.A. in English from Wellesley College.
Over the course of her career, Rachel has held a variety of teaching positions at both the K-12 and higher education levels. She has taught at New Orleans Public Schools and Compton Unified School District and has served as Adjunct Faculty at City University of New York and Long Island University. She has also volunteered as a Teacher for the Prison Education Initiative.
Currently, Rachel is the Director and Core Faculty at Antioch University Seattle's School of Education. Her expertise in multicultural and urban education and disability studies makes her a valuable asset to the university community. Overall, Rachel is a dedicated and accomplished educator with a strong commitment to helping students succeed, and her extensive experience in the field has made her a valuable resource to educators and students alike.
