Robert Gallagher is a seasoned full-stack software engineer and consultant with nearly 20 years of experience in the industry. Based in Singapore, Robert is a manager at Pivotal Labs, where he helps organizations become more agile and product-focused. Throughout his career, he has worked with startups, digital agencies, large corporations, and the public sector, shipping many different kinds of products from conception to market.

Robert's expertise lies in Java, the Spring ecosystem, and building modern web applications using XP practices such as pair programming and test-driven development. He also has deep knowledge of software engineering and is passionate about the craft of writing code. As a former technical director and team leader, he has demonstrated his ability to mentor and lead other software engineers.

Robert attended Imperial College London and King's College London, where he studied computer science. Before joining Pivotal Labs, Robert worked at several notable organizations, including VMware, Well Made World, and Dada.
