Member of a 3-person Senior Executive Team leading Circuit Check from a single location $10 million company to an inter-national +$25 million organization. Led company’s accelerated growth from $10MM to $25MM in revenue in 24 months through acquisition/organic growth.  Established relationship with a China supplier for semi-finished goods at a 35% materials cost reduction.  Led the acquisition/integration of two companies aggregating $14MM and established Malaysian and Mexican operations.

eBenX was a technology-based services company that managed the business transactions between the buyers and suppliers of group health and welfare benefits. eBenX was acquired by Carewise Health in 2002.

Responsible for financial, accounting, accounting systems, legal, health and welfare compliance (HIPPA), and investor relations. Improved company forecasting, planning and budgeting process utilizing PeopleSoft ERP system. Completed the 2002 budget prior to the end of 2001 – provide the road map for the company to achieve profitability, first time in the company’s public history. Responsible for investor relations. Interacted with potential investors and Wall Street investment firms regarding the company's current and projected performance. Completed acquisition of a division of a major financial services firm ($20 million in revenue). Acted as Chief Compliance Officer responsible for Health and Welfare benefits law to ensure compliance with HIPAA.

Responsible for setting strategic direction and improving the performance of Deluxe’s largest business unit, with annual revenues in excess of $1.3 billion. Led a staff of 120 employees and developed strategic business partnerships with division heads to influence 14,000 employees to engage in significant process and cultural change. Resulted in twelve consecutive quarters of profitable growth.

Developed the base business strategy, resulting in the financial and operational turnaround of the organization. Imbedded market segmentation as a strategic imperative for management of the customer base. Key decisions on customer pricing, support and acquisition were based on this imperative. Value Added; Developed and implemented a hybrid strategy of the balanced scorecard concept to support EVA strategy – the Business Alignment Model. The Business Alignment Model brought clarity to all employees on their personal contribution and its place in accomplishing the business plan.

Team member of group that developed the strategy to jettison the family of Deluxe companies into separate operating units with a separate public stock. The strategy resulted in the IPO of eFunds and positioned Paper Payments as an independent public entity. Team member that established Indian operations for back office activities and processes. Performed strategic reviews, due diligence and closings on acquisition candidates ranging from $25 million to $1 billion.

Redesigned performance measurements (financial and non-financial) and related management systems through an extensive business process reengineering initiative.  Introduced the Balanced Scorecard approach to performance measures to drive efficiency.  Developed a Windows-based operating system to track and report measures. Developed nationwide procedures for the planning and capital budgeting process and provided direction for information systems support.  Acted as financial lead for domestic and Canadian bottling acquisitions.  Acquired 85% of the Canadian bottling network in a 12 month time frame.  Performed detailed competitive analysis.
