Sapna Desai is an Oracle Certified DBA with over ten years of experience designing and building highly available and scalable database systems, developing packages, triggers, and procedures using Pl/Sql. She is skilled in testing and implementing backup strategies, setting up replication using Streams/Materialized Views, disaster recovery planning and implementation using Data Guard and Standby Databases, physical and logical design of databases, and server and database capacity planning. Sapna has an in-depth understanding of N-Tiered applications, load balancers, and firewalls. She has worked with offshore development teams, provided monitoring solutions, implemented shell scripts, and Oracle Enterprise Manager alerting to send alerts to DBA teams, and migrated data from legacy systems to new systems.
