Stuart Shulman is a seasoned academic, inventor, entrepreneur, and coach. With a Ph.D. in political science and a background in organic farming, Shulman's professional career spans over 20 years of experience in research methods, software development, text analytics, human coding, natural language processing, search, information retrieval, regulations, rulemaking, democracy, capitalism, and big data. Shulman founded Texifter, LLC, a company that specializes in providing text analysis software to researchers, governments, and businesses. He also invented several successful text analytics platforms, including the Coding Analysis Toolkit (CAT) and DiscoverText, which runs on Azure. Dr. Shulman's work has been widely recognized by industry experts and funded by institutions such as the National Science Foundation. Additionally, he is a volunteer soccer coach and a former editor-in-chief of the Journal of Information Technology & Politics.
