Sam Janeway
Sam Janeway is an experienced educator with a passion for working with under-served students. Born and raised in Cambridge, MA, Janeway is an avid fan of the Celtics, Red Sox, Patriots, and Bruins. After moving to San Francisco in 1994, Janeway became a fan of the local basketball team, the Warriors, and the baseball team, the Giants. Janeway studied English at Bucknell University before obtaining a Clear Credential in the Teacher Credentialing Program for Mild/Moderate Disabilities at San Francisco State University.
Janeway has worked in education for many years, starting at non-public schools before moving on to work for the San Francisco Unified School District and the San Francisco County Office of Education. Janeway is a specialist in content, having served as a Content Specialist for SFUSD in the past. Janeway has also worked as a Mild/Moderate Teacher and a Behavior Specialist, providing support for students with a variety of exceptional needs from pre-K to 22.
Janeway is especially passionate about working with multi-system youth, including those involved in the juvenile justice system and foster youth. In addition to behavior intervention and IEP support, Janeway has consulted on curriculum development. Janeway is always in it for the students.
