Smadar Painter is a celebrated artist hailing from Nahalal in Northern Israel. With over 30 years of experience in painting a wide variety of techniques utilizing oil, watercolor, pastel, and drawing, Smadar is an expert in traditional portraiture and landscape painting. She is also proficient in Alla Prima model painting and hosts demonstrations for students and fellow artists.

Smadar has an impressive educational background in Painting from the School of Visual Arts and the University of Wales, Cardiff. She also studied Graphic Arts and Illustration from the Technion- Israel Institute of Technology and History of Art and Linguistics from The Hebrew University.

Smadar is the Founder & Painter at Smadar Brushes Ltd., a leading name among professional figurative painters in Israel. She actively works towards promoting the improvement of professional painting quality and lectures on creativity and art. Smadar has published several essays on figurative versus conceptual art and has been leading an online forum – The Painters’ Forum, to help painters enquire about painting techniques and art ethics.
