Matti Thurston is a Cornell University alumnus with a professional focus on energy storage/distribution and novel electronics. Currently, he works for Apple Inc. as an Engineering Program Manager in Hardware Technologies, Battery NPI, bringing his expertise in fusion, semiconductors, and superconductors to the table. Along with his experience in battery and accessory/algorithm engineering management, he brings a diverse experience set that includes sales, teaching, and research.

Thurston has worked as an airframe design engineer at the Cornell Rocketry Team and as a researcher and teaching assistant at Cornell University. He has also worked as an analyst at Omidyar Technology Ventures and as an intern/assistant to general manager at Bear Valley Water District. He has served as the president emeritus of the Cornell Venture Capital organization and as a volunteer at Engineers for a Sustainable World.

Thurston's interests lie in sustainable energy systems and engineering for a better world. He is a valuable member of the team at Apple, bringing his expertise and experience to the table.
