She has worked across various industries such as YT Media Creation, Ads industry, semiconductors, enterprise computing, and NBU products. She has also received the BITSAA 30 Under 30 Award for Leadership.

Karthika has a strong educational background having received her Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, her Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (Computer Architecture, and Digital VLSI) from Stanford University, and her Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Finance, Operations, Entrepreneurship, and Strategic Management from the prestigious University of Pennsylvania - The Wharton School.

From there, she has worked as a Cosmic Circuits Hardware Intern, a Professional Assistant at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, a Design Intern at NVIDIA, a Component Design Engineer at Intel Corporation, Senior Design Engineer at Intel Corporation, and 20% Product Manager at Google. Later, she was a Corporate Strategy Intern at Jio, a Hardware Engineer at Google, and currently works as a Product Manager for YT Shorts at Google.
