Karen Hamberg

Karen Hamberg is a clean technology executive with nearly two decades of experience in clean transportation technologies and regulatory frameworks. Currently serving as the Vice-President of External Affairs and Sustainability at Westport Fuel Systems in Vancouver, British Columbia. She was appointed Chair of the Board of Directors at CALSTART in Pasadena, California, and played a key role in achieving a gender-balanced board. Karen also holds positions in prominent organizations like the Government of Canada's Industry Strategy Council and the Economic Strategy Table on Clean Technology. Recognized for her contributions, she was named to Canada's Clean 50™ in 2017 and Canada's Clean 16™ in 2019. Furthermore, she has been actively involved in various initiatives, including chairing the United Way of the Lower Mainland Campaign Cabinet in 2019 and serving on advisory boards such as the Nature Conservancy of Canada and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.
