Meet Genki Kondo, a talented engineer and tech lead with a background in computer science and mechanical engineering. Armed with specialties in VR, mobile, and web apps design and development, along with expertise in distributed computing, natural language processing, and simulation and modeling, Genki's skill set is diverse and impressive. He honed his craft with a M.S. in Computer Science from Stanford, and a B.S. and M.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell.
Genki has served in various engineering roles throughout his career. He's worked as a Software Engineer and Tech Lead at Facebook Horizon and Facebook Reality Labs. Before this, he worked as a Software Engineer and Tech Lead for Facebook 360, and as a Software Engineer at Twitter and Google. Prior to his stint in tech, he worked as a Senior Systems Engineer at MITRE, and as an Engineering Intern at Pratt & Whitney and GE Aviation.
Genki's skill set includes a wide variety of programming languages and platforms, such as Java, C#, Unity, Scala, C++, Google Web Toolkit, Apache Hadoop/Spark, JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML5 + CSS3, MATLAB, R, SQL, Unix, Objective-C, Python, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, and more. He's also fluent in Japanese, a valuable asset in our increasingly global economy.
